(1985) - FECAL MATTER (DEMO) - ILLITERACY WILL PREVAIL

The band formed in late 1985, and consisted of Cobain on guitar and vocals, Dale Crover on bass, and Greg Hokanson on drums. We know that with this line-up they played some Shows opening for the Melvins, one was in December 1985 in Spot Tavern in Pacific Beach, WA. After Hokanson left the band, Cobain and Crover went to the House of Cobain in Seattle's aunt, and recorded "Illiteracy Will Prevail", a 16 track demo, in a recording of 4 tracks in December 1985. Crover played bass and drums on the demo, while Cobain played guitar and sang. Fecal Matter disbanded in 1986 with Buzz Osborne on bass and Mike Dillard in the battery, according to the biography of Michael Azerrad's Nirvana, Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana, because Cobain believed that Dillard did not take the project seriously, and Osbourne refused to buy a Bass Amplifier.

"love buzz" was the first single released by Nirvana in 1988 through Sub Pop. He had a limited release of only 1000 vinyl 7-inch hand numbered. The single contains "Love Buzz", a cover version with slightly modified lyrics of the original Shocking Blue, and "Big Cheese" as the b-side (this being the first released song by the band). Love Buzz included in Bleach version does not contain a collage of sound of introduction of 10 seconds (known as a "Montage of Heck" by Kurt Cobain).

(1989) - BLEACH

Bleach is the debut album by Nirvana, released in June 1989 through the independent record label Sub Pop. Most of the recording sessions took place in the study of Reciprocal Recording in Seattle, Washington between December 1988 and January 1989. Kurt Cobain felt pressed to create songs for Bleach which were within the genre of grunge, driven by the label and the music scene in Seattle. The album is regarded as quite negative and distressing; Cobain said that most of the lyrics were written the night before recording, when he felt uncomfortable and did not have them in high esteem. The recording was financed by Jason Everman, credited as guitarist despite having not played in any song.

(1993) - IN UTERO

In Utero is the third and final Studio album by Nirvana, released on September 13, 1993 by DGC Records. Nirvana intended the recording sounded different from the polished production of its previous album Nevermind (1991). To achieve a sound more natural and rugged with respect to this, the Group hired producer Steve Albini to record In Utero during a period of two weeks in February 1993 at Pachyderm Studio. The music was recorded quickly with few Studio tricks, and the lyrics of the songs and the presentation of the album incorporated medical images that conveyed the Kurt views about his personal life and the new fame of the band.
Shortly after finishing the recording, began to circulate rumors in the press about the possibility of DGC did not launch the album in its original state, since it considered that the outcome was not commercially viable. Although Nirvana publicly denied these claims, the Panel was not completely satisfied with the sound achieved by Albini. This declined to further modify the album, so in the end the band hired Scott Litt to make minor changes in the sound of the album and to mix the singles "Heart-Shaped Box" and "all apologies" again.
While he did not have the same level of sales that Nevermind, after his release, In Utero entered at number one on the Billboard 200 and received praise from critics by mean a drastic change from their previous album. The recording was certified five times Platinum by the RIAA and sold over four million copies in the United States.

(1994) LAST AMERICAN SHOW

When on 8 January 1994 Nirvana was presented at the Seattle Center Arena nobody could have thought this would be the last presentation of the Group at United States. Days later embark on a European tour which was complicated by the incident of Cobain with pills in Rome and then breathing problems that were made to cancel the tour.
The truth is that night Cobain was in a very good mood, the band sounded very tight and presented faced with a very enthusiastic audience. The concert is complete and the audio is taken from the audience, but even so it is very good; what you hear at times to the public but does not interfere too.
This show appeared as part of the pirate box "Into The Black", separated into two discs. The two disc also contained several sessions of the band for John Peel at the BBC programme; not included them because the audio isn't the best and have appeared on other bootlegs with much better quality. (1994) - THE FINAL CURTAIN-TERMINAL 1, MUNICH, GERMANY-[03-01-94]

This is the last concert of Nirvana. After the live at Terminal Eins in Munich, Germany, March 1, Cobain was diagnosed with bronchitis and severe laryngitis. Show the next night was canceled. On the morning of March 4 in Rome, Cobain was found unconscious by Courtney Love and was taken to a hospital. A doctor said in a press conference that the singer reacted to a combination of alcohol and Rohypnol. The rest of the tour was cancelled, including a visit planned to United Kingdom.
In subsequent weeks, Cobain's heroin addiction resurfaced. A meeting was organized by relatives and friends of Kurt and they convinced him to enter rehabilitation. With less than a week in rehabilitation, Cobain escaped from the rehabilitation centre and flew to Seattle. A week later, on Friday, April 8, 1994, Cobain lifeless body was discovered by an electrician at his home in Seattle.

MTV Unplugged in New York is a live album released in November 1994. The album shows the acoustic concert the band played at Sony Music in New York City Studios on November 18, 1993. He won a Grammy Award for best alternative music album in 1996. A DVD version was released in 2007.
